Question

What?

I've been wondering what it means at the top of HB where everyone's name is when someone is in bold or purple as opposed to just the regular type?

How?

How do you make the dash through words? I've gotten something on my wishlist and wanted to do the slash through it but can't figure out how.

Why? regarding americangirl.com

Why are the historical dolls listed in the order they are in? It's probably something obvious but as long as I'm asking questions it's something I'be been wondering and I might as well throw it out to the experts.

Thanks for putting up with my silly questions,

As far as the bolded name thing, I have no idea. I've wondered the same thing myself!

As for the slash marks, go into your message you wrote (via the edit button) and look next to the graemlins where it says HB markup language. There is a button called strikethru. Use it to strike through your word. Just follow the instructions and it will take you through it.

As far as the historical order on the AG website, I thought all the girls were in time line order from oldest (Kaya -1764) to Molly (1944). This is how it was before; did they change it?

Hope this helps!

I can help you with the strikethrough and the order. ^_^

To do the strike through, use these tags:

(s)Thing You Want to Cross Off(/s)

Just replace the parantheses with brackets.

As for the order of the dolls, they are listed in chronological order. Kaya's from the earliest time period, Molly's from the latest time period. Hope that helps!

Names in bold are HB moderators, though not all are moderators of American Girl Fans Message Board. Mine is a perfect example. There was the sweetest girl who was a member here until her mom decided that the internet wasn't safe for someone so young. Before she left, she had started the most beautiful board for people who love horses. I offered to be the moderator on record for her board so that it would still be here when she is older and able to come back.

Yes, the girls are in order of their date . Kaya the oldest, Molly the newest.

The bold on this board is,I think for the mods. Purple means you've clicked on the name before to see their profile.

For the dash, see when you post, underneath where there's the little things like "URL" and "EMAIL" and "BOLD", the last row "STRIKETHRU" is the one that's going to get the line through your words. Press it and it'll ask <s>what you want to be ...struckthru</s>and it'll do it for you

Thanks! I should have been able to figure out that order thing. I'm almost embarrased enough to delete that part but I won't in case there is someone just as clueless as I was. I guess I was thinking it should be the order they were released or something but the chronological order makes perfect sense.

Again,
thank you,
thank you,
thank you!!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If it makes you feel any better, you weren't alone. I didn't know either. I always thought it was just another of those "who knows what AG does what they do" things. I also thought the dolls should have been in the order released, but AGs way is better.

I thought we were supposed to delete things off our wish lists when we got them and not strike through. Am I wrong about that?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You can do either. If you just got the item, you might want to strike through it so people know that it is a recent aquistion. If you got the wished for item awhile ago, just delete it completely to keep our board neater and easier to read.
